The team at Redbox Studio is led by Nic Sim and Krista Goon.
Nic is the business owner of Redbox Studio, a web design and web marketing consultancy business he set up in 1998. He is also the chief designer, programmer and art director for Redbox Studio.(Before setting up Redbox Studio in 1998, Nic was an art director with a leading Penang advertising agency.)
Nic is fascinated by design, having graduated with a BA in Education (majoring in Fine Art) from Universiti Sains Malaysia, Penang. With a keen interest in design, PHP and CSS, Nic shares his ideas by writing for EzineArticles.com where he is a Platinum member.
Business aside, Nic is an avid artist. He started off dabbling in fine art but has since moved towards abstract art, infused with mysterious Chinese themes. He has sold his art work to art enthusiasts and collectors in The Netherlands and Singapore.
Nic serves as an active committee member at the Mensa Malaysia Penang branch (where he has been a committee member for the past two terms since 2005). He also contributes to Triple M, the magazine for Mensa members as well as manages the Mensa Penang website. Highly fascinated with architecture, Nic is also a member of the Penang Heritage Trust, an organisation which seeks to preserve the heritage of Penang.
He has been interviewed for Men's Health Malaysia magazine (December 2005) and in Graduan (2006), a career and employment handbook for fresh graduates.
Nic says,"A pretty website built without marketing sense is a big waste of money. The most dangerous thing you could ever do is to allow your website to become an online brochure. Your website should always work for you. It should be getting you leads and helping you grow your business! If your website hasn't been making you money, it's time to investigate and find out why."

Krista is the key person at Redbox Studio who manages the communications and PR aspects of Redbox Studio's business through speaking, writing, and networking. She also oversees much of the copywriting work at Redbox Studio.
She joined Redbox Studio in March 2004 after spending 7 years sharpening her skills in the areas of advertising, corporate communications and web portal management.
Although she has been interviewed by eHomemakers.net and The Malaysian Women's Weekly magazine (July 2005), she likes nothing better than writing about others.
To date, she has written for Reader's Digest magazine (she interviewed a real life hero who thought nothing of running into a burning house to save 3 children). You can also find her travel articles and business articles in websites such as ThingsAsian.com and EzineArticles.com. Beginning 2006, she has been contributing travel articles to The Western Australian News, a newspaper in Perth, Australia. Besides writing for magazines and websites, she's an avid blogger (read how she dissects life in the most maniacal way at MayaKirana.com).
Always keenly interested in all things women, Krista co-founded a women entrepreneurs' networking group in Penang with her good friend, Josephine, in July 2006. Their businesswomen group, called WomenBizSENSE, meet regularly to share about business, pass referrals to each other and simply, just enjoy each other's friendships. Besides co-founding a businesswomen's group, she is also a member of the National Association of Women Entrepreneurs Malaysia.
The passionate blogger that she is, she's also been an invited speaker at KDU Penang for two consecutive years now to share her experiences on blogging. Besides blogging, she'd just completed an ebook on web design, co-authored with the principal of Sachi Studio of Washington D.C, USA. Krista also works with Vienna Hub, a cluster of high potential international firms based in Vienna, Austria.
Krista earned both her BA in Communications and MA in English from Universiti Sains Malaysia.
