My IE 5.1.7 can't even access digi's website and I can't even upgrade to another browser! I think websites should be accessible to the most basic OS and browsers before adding any bling-bling.

ps fat yellow man looks dangerously close to Teletubbies. Very creepy!

hear, hear... say, how about a two-year self-paid sabbatical or full-time studies, while having your business running on autocruise?

That's exactly what I did the past couple years, and I'm finally am back for a "full-time" work, at home... ;-) But I still take holidays erratically, like 4-days off to Sepang last week, and another 3-day to KL next week.

Micropreneurism is the way of the FUTURE. I'm glad I'm in an energetic global team to push this agenda forward. But, being years ahead of time, is a tough task. I wouldn't say I have not suffered at times throughout my 10 yrs or so being self-employed. But, hopefully, many new entrepreneurial minds won't have to endure the same hurdles. I'm on my one-man initiative (backed by a team of 50 plus people world wide) to change popular beliefs with regards to employment and productivity, i.e. David vs. Goliath. Let's see how will the Goliaths respond....

Hmm... Queensbay's too far for me in this remote ville of BeePee (see http://BalikPulau.org). Maybe, we'll bump into each other somewhere.... (we used to stay in the same apartment complex, I think!).

In your blogging secrets, you mentioned to use a spellchecker.

From my experience, it is not totally necessary because your style of blogging is the beauty which contributes to the personally to your blog. The spellchecker or even blog editor might be necessary when you're targeting an international audience with a more professional topic.

Anyway, good article written and hope you'll be sharing more about the goals as many lack the understanding of this. :)

Cheers.

Hi Bill,
You're probably right about e-commerce. Adaptability is one. And of course, acceptance of Internet use as well as Internet penetration (plus savvyness!) could be another. I believe Malaysians will one day come to embrace e-commerce but with time. Perhaps we tend to be more cautious and want to see if it works first before we venture further. That's my take on this. Inadequate marketing? Could be. But more than that, locally it could be the lack of understanding of how it works and the fears which surround Internet shopping. For instance, my aunts and uncles (in their 50s) don't have a clue about e-commerce. They're technophobic at best. They view the Internet as something 'youngsters' indulge in for games and fun, not for real business or commerce. So at the moment, it is the 'youngsters' in their 20s and 30s who know about ecommerce and shop online. Other groups might prefer the old way - brick-and-mortar way, of course. ;-)
