Spread the Gossip!

A great big shout-out to our client, Bernard Hor of Summer Sands, who got a truly exciting write-up in The Star newspaper today.

Project GOssip (run by Summer Sands) started off in the Klang Valley and it is coming to Penang this weekend. This cool outfit which is a youth events management company started its Project GOssip in KL last year, right after we helped them revamp their website to reflect the business they were in.

With its three-prong approach dubbed Go Safe, Go Away and Go Celebrate, Project GOssip was started by a bunch of youths from Summer Sands Productions to educate youths and inspire advocacy on the issues like domestic violence and HIV and AIDS prevention.

They marry cool youth programmes with education and awareness with the belief that youth can give back in enormously beneficial ways.

For example, the Project GOssip team took some 120 underprivileged children out to Queensbay Mall for a day of fun and food last Sunday. They also “visited Penang Free School with Malaysian AIDS Council (MAC) to run an interactive training on HIV and AIDS through music and dance.”

If you are in Penang tomorrow (Saturday, Feb 28), you can join Project GOssip’s Party in the Park at the Esplanade with lots of fun stuff for everyone: youth carnival, basketball challenge, Playstation challenge, 18 indie bands performing live, Counterstrike laser strike challenge, BMX and shuffling, DJ workshop and lots more.
